Jen Raoult Bio

Jen Raoult is a French-born photographer and filmmaker based in Auckland. With a Master's degree in Art History and further study in Photography, her passion for visuals seamlessly integrates into her artistic pursuits.
Initially focusing on documentary and editorial photography for travel, lifestyle, and music magazines across Europe, Jen also works as a unit stills photographer for films. Her filmmaking journey began during her travels in West Africa, capturing the stories of artists and performers. Her film, "La Voix des Pistes," received recognition at The Jean Rouch Film Festival in 2009.
Since moving to New Zealand in 2009, alongside her fine art photography practice and commercial assignments, Jen has established a creative studio called Ethik in collaboration with cinematographer Gareth Moon, specialised in creating visually striking short documentary content. With her Photographic series Anima and experimental short film When The Quiet Comes she explores the therapeutic dimension of art, aiming to find methods of artistic healing.
